AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide analog of the C-terminal region of human growth hormone (hGH 177–191), extended with an N-terminal tyrosine and stabilized by a disulfide bridge between Cys7 and Cys14. The literature describes it as a fragment without meaningful binding to the growth hormone receptor, which makes it a useful tool compound for studying the metabolic properties of the hGH C-terminal region in isolation – particularly adipocyte signaling, lipolytic pathways, energy balance and nutrient partitioning in in vitro and in vivo research models. Reconstitution – Different Solvent

AOD-9604 has limited solubility in neutral water. Laboratory practice therefore recommends a mildly acidic solvent – 0.6% acetic acid – which ensures complete dissolution and helps protect oxidation-sensitive residues. Bacteriostatic water (BAC) is not a recommended solvent for this peptide.
